(1) Bark;  

(2) Soil and other items prohibited from entering the country;  

(3) Various signs of pest damage, such as cavities, borer holes, insect droppings, insect trails, ant trails, blue discoloration, decay, sap flow, disease spots, and disease symptoms;

(4) Harmful organisms in various life stages, such as live insects, pupae, insect galls, fungal mycelium, fruiting bodies, and other biological organisms that can be carried and spread through wood;  

(5) Snakes, rodents, and other animals;  

(6) If sawn timber or engineered wood products entering or exiting the country have wooden packaging or padding materials, they must be inspected together.

Acceptable: Fumigation treatment at the timber inspection site under the supervision of the inspection and quarantine department

(1) Containers found to contain animals such as rats or snakes;

(2) Containers carrying soil;

(3) Containers declared as not carrying bark, but found during quarantine to have been debarked but with bark content exceeding the specified standard;

(4) Unpeeled logs found to contain live harmful organisms;  

(5) Peeled logs and sawn timber found to contain live quarantine-regulated harmful organisms or harmful organisms specified in bilateral quarantine agreements;  

Non-treatable: Notify the consignee or their agent to arrange for return or destruction.

(1) Failure to provide valid plant quarantine certificates or origin certificates issued by the official quarantine authorities of the exporting country or region, or the plant quarantine certificates are found to be forged or altered;  

(2) Declared as bark-free, but found during quarantine to have not undergone bark removal;  

(3) Found to carry soil, quarantine pests, or other prohibited items without effective quarantine treatment methods.
